Live Escape Game FAQs

Who is the live escape game designed for?

The Clue Room live escape game is for anyone who loves a challenge and wants to have fun with family, friends, neighbors or coworkers. The goal is simple: escape from a locked room in 60 minutes using only your team’s thinking skills, deductive reasoning, and logic to solve the room’s mysteries, riddles, and puzzles. The room is filled with a series of cryptic clues and padlocks, so be sure to carefully look over everything in the room. Additional helpful clues will be presented when needed.

1893 – Are you looking for the ultimate escape room experience? With the historic 1893 Chicago World’s Fair as a backdrop, you and your team of investigators will be transported in time to match wits with one of the most notorious criminal minds of the 19th Century. Book your team now for this exciting and challenging live escape game experience. Given the nature of these historical events and the difficulty level of the live escape, there is a minimum age requirement of 14 years for all participants.

Is there an age limit for team members?

While there is no age limit, the ideal age is 12 years and older. You can bring younger children, but at least one team member must be an adult. If you do bring any children that are under 12 years old, you must book the entire room.

Do I need any special skills or knowledge for the game?

The game is designed to test team working skills, creativity and “thinking outside the box”. It requires no special skills and is not physically challenging.

How long does a game last?

For each room you will be given 60 minutes to escape. Please also allow 10-15 minutes for us to provide you with the instructions and basic rules needed to complete the game safely. The total Clue Room experience should last a total of 90 minutes at most, but remember it all depends on how quickly your team can escape!

What payment methods do you accept?

We require all guests to reserve their games and make payment online. Given the required set-up for each game, walk-ins are generally discouraged. Exceptions may be made if there are available spots.

What is the minimum and maximum size of groups per game?

The ideal group size is 4-6 people, with the minimum being 2. In general, bigger teams have a better chance to escape. We advise 3-4 participants per team, and set the maximum team size at 10 players. As we have different Clue Room experiences at the moment, we can have up to 18 people playing simultaneously. Larger group sizes can be accommodated through scheduling a private party. Contact us via email, clueroom.colorado@gmail.com or phone (303) 955-1722.

May I come and play alone?

Due to the nature of the game the minimum group size is 2 people. However, we are reserving several dates during the week for single registration to organize `meet up` games. You could then play with others and make up your own teams. Follow us at TheClueRoom.com, to sign up for these meet up games.

Is there anything I should bring with me?

You should wear comfortable clothes, and open toes shoes are allowed. The game requires a bit of reading, so bring your reading glasses if you need them. Also, don’t forget your thinking caps!

If I am unable to show up at the reserved time, what should I do?

If you know before your scheduled date that your team cannot make it, please let us know up to 48 hours in advance. Because of the heavy booking of the Clue Rooms, we are unable to issue a refund at this time if you or your team are unable to participate at your reserved time.
